I liked it. You want to see it if you're interested in gender and class, not so much if you're looking for an entertainment movie.

Very interesting to read reviews afterwards, my take on some points was very different than some other people's.

Demographics: Entirely female audience at this weekday matinee, about ten people, mostly older (retirement-aged), about half of whom were there together.

Bonus annoyance: There was a 20+ minute delay due to the projectionist not being there, which I don't mean to sound too entitled about because the manager mentioned an accident and, you know, yikes, but when they finally did start it they still showed three commercials and two previews. It was maddening, as the delay had eaten up the whole margin-of-error I'd put on the parking meter, and as it was I had to leave the second the credits started (I always like to stay through the credits to pay attention to the music) and waddle much faster than I really should have back to my car. At the point at which they've had to announce a delay, couldn't they at least give us a break on the ads? I guess for all I know it's all on the same reel and there's no fast-forward, but bah.

If they operate a platter system like my theater did, then there is indeed no way to skip the ads without a time-consuming splicing job. Everything is on a single giant reel of film.
