Nov. 29th, 2002 04:58 pmHave returned from wilds of Maine. Am still utterly smitten with my little cousin (20 months) - his astounding eloquence (he's started forming two-word phrases like, referring to the fire, "Daddy make"), his good taste in music (Sweet Honey in the Rock's children's album), his appreciation for fun games (like sitting on the floor together and toppling over backwards and giggling madly). We had a lovely visit and before I left he even favored me with a funny name (along the lines of "Abby-Gabby" or "Lizzy-Wizzy", two of his friends), a sign of affection that would have cemented my adoration if it wasn't already.
It was nice to see my aunt and uncle too, of course; good grown-up conversation was a nice complement to my cousin's "I will repeat this word until you confirm that I've identified this object correctly, and possibly a few dozen more times just for kicks" conversational style. And we watched "Wonder Boys", which is not a movie I would have thought I would like, but which was quite good, especially everything involving Tobey Maguire ::grin::.
