psocopteraThree fandoms, focusing on the things one hopes to *receive*, as there's no point in nominating the things one wishes to write if no one actually wants to get them.
One is definitely Westerfeld's Leviathan series, because eeeeee. Two is probably A Companion to Wolves, because, like Leviathan, it has Recent Release Energy (sort of like New Relationship Energy), and I know people in fandom are reading it, and thus I might actually match on it if I didn't in Leviathan, and I actually have prompts I could offer my author, like, things I would love to read that I don't want to write myself, which seems like the very meaning of Yuletide. By the Recent Release Energy theory, three should be Secret Science Alliance, which is one of those "I would be so thrilled if a person other than me has read this and wanted to write it!" picks. Except I have another one of those too, Emergence, except *that* came out in 1985 and thus seems just as likely to match next year as this year (where "just as likely" = "really not very"). But who knows what I'll be all enthused about by next year. (Or if I'll be able to Yuletide at all with a crawly baby.)
I know someone else almost surely will nominate Companion to Wolves, but I'd like to make sure my preferred characters get in there, and "just nominate what you're actually going to ask for" is a more appealing approach to me anyways than trying to be all strategic about it.
But I'd love to have a shot at both Secret Science Alliance and Emergence. I mean, it's not like I'm likely to match on either, I at least want the excitement of the possibility!
