Wonder Park

Took the kids + a kid-friend to see Wonder Park, a vexing experience given that Captain Marvel was playing in the very same theater at nearly the same time and I still haven't made it to see it a second time but there I was at an inferior movie instead. Wonder Park... doesn't quite hang together, the metaphor gets kind of tangled and there are some character beats wedged in awkward places, but there's some decent visuals. I have dreams set in amusement parks sometimes and it captured some of how some of them are. Bonus points for the triumphant theme basically being cribbed directly out of Jurassic Park with the ending bit changed; that's either a clever nod or a bold steal. :)
