Thor Ragnarok

Easily the best Thor movie and one of the most fun Marvel movies in awhile! (At least of the ones I've seen, I've... huh, missed more than I've seen of the recent ones.) Unfortunately I was so excited by the 11 am showtime (early enough to see before school gets out) that I didn't read the fine print and ended up seeing it in 3D, which was pretty terrible, like a desaturation filter was slapped over the whole thing, making it washed out and harder to see. I was more seeing it for the banter than the special effects, so it was still worth it to get to see it, but don't see it in 3D, or maybe just don't see it in 3D at Fresh Pond (I don't have a sense of whether this is more like a projection-system problem or a 3Dification problem). ETA: I'm hearing that the color may be bad in the 3D all over and is apparently amazing if you see it in 2D, so, learn from my mistake on this one! It sort of sucks to be looking at gifs on tumblr like... why does this look so much better on my computer screen than it did in the theater.
