Fell on the way to Junie's pickup, had to call Josh to come get her and rescue me and Q from someone's front steps. Ankle just wasn't playing the walking game. And I had gone out without my sticks. Which is the part I feel really stupid about. I don't know why it's taking me so long to wrap my head around the idea that it's permanently unreliable and taking precautions about it just needs to be a standard part of my life now. I am philosophically pro-adaptive technology, I swear! I just... blargh. Sometimes it's really hard to remember that the hassle and struggle of getting my boot on over the brace is still better than flopping around in the snow screaming while Q silently freaks out. Maybe I should try to buy some different boots. BAH, why are bodies fallible.
