Yuletide 2011 fic recs part 10: T, U

And thus we reach The Avengers. Fun fact: six out of this year's top ten popular Yuletide stories, as sorted by hits, are Avengers stories. I will confess that I had been feeling some Yuletide snobbery, not understanding people spending one of their precious requests on something for which there is a ton of good fic being written anyways (a fandom that only didn't get size-excluded because of the first-year exemption), but then some of the story notes mentioned, like, nasty comments to the Dear Author letters of people requesting Avengers, and, ugh, yes, the spirit of Yuletide is to bring people together to be enthused about rare stuff, but if any part of that is going to give a little, it should surely be the "rare" part and not the "people enthused together" part. All three of my requests were things I had read recently, and, okay, I am maaaybe stlll going to claim that them being relatively obscure things is worth like one extra cool point, but really, everyone just wants to request the things they're currently excited about, and at the end of the day we're talking about a couple dozen stories out of 2500+, and I feel bad for having been snobbish about them.
So: Cold Making Warmth, Steve goes Christmas shopping.
Yes, Tony Stark, There Is A Santa Claus. Tony throws a party.
and relatedly, a kind of grace that shades everything, Captain America, explicit, hot. Points for fitting a threesome onto an army cot and almost making it sound plausible ::grin::.
Really winding down here. V is for Vorkosigan, and then there are a few fandoms of potential interest in W, and Y is for Young Wizards, I guess, and then I'll do a best-of-the-best list at the end.
