So these are not Yuletide recs - I've just had this open in a tab for awhile and want to get it posted before I get further into the Yuletide reccing.

I don't go looking for fanworks for every book or movie I love, but finishing Goliath put me very much one of those more more I need more moods. The Leviathan fanfic out there is mostly on fanfiction.net (or else DeviantArt), which had a slightly dampening effect on my glee - don't get me wrong, a) I think it's entirely appropriate that the fandom for a YA series consists largely of Y. A.s, and b) enthusiastic young writers are where polished older writers come from, so as someone who intends to still be reading fic for awhile, I have every reason to be glad to see a good crop of, uh, seedlings. But in fact I am a jaded thirty-something reader and a lot of what one finds on ffn just doesn't work for me.

Julia456 is a jewel in the ffn rough. (For one thing, I'm pretty sure she is more like my age rather than young enough to be my kid...) Her drabble collection, Quite Peculiar is like a big platter of yummy morsels, her long fic What You Are is the most satisfying long fic I've found yet in the fandom, and Goggles gets M-rated! One of her Quite Peculiar stories got turned into a three-page comic which is the cutest thing in the world and if you only want one fanwork that is what you should go look at.

Other things of possible interest:
Kings, another "wait-am-I-gay" story.
What Mad Providence, another drabble collection, which seems to be the predominant mode for Leviathan fic.
art, in a tree. I love this picture.
art, hostage situation. Also this one.
Snapshots, one more short-fic collection.
Last Little Secret. Great setting ::grin::.
