Juniper starts pulling Berenstain Bears books off the rack: "The Berenstain Bears Visit Grandma", hey Junie, we're going to go visit Grandma soon... "The Berenstain Bears Back to School", oh I remember that from when I was a kid... "The Berenstain Bears Computer Trouble, with Internet Safety Rules"? Um, I don't think we had that one. ::feels old::

Also, I'm a pretty cheap parent (my idea of a fun new toy is, like, sorting acorns into an egg carton), but an impending cross-country flight (I just mistyped that as "fight"...) seems to have quite a loosening effect on the old purse-strings. Better to splurge now, I figure, than find myself at 30000 feet over Colorado thinking I would pay three times as much for one more new shiny distraction in the bag. Unfortunately someday Juniper will probably figure this out and start lobbying to visit Grandma and Grandpa more often...
