My life as seen through the contents of my mailbox

Have gotten a notice from Brandeis acknowledging my request for a leave of absence despite never having actually turned in the form. Hm. Have also gotten a form from my landlord asking whether I'm renewing my lease despite having sent a letter with my last rent check saying I was. Hm again. My prospective roommate has suggested I mail her the application/credit check forms, saying it should take about seven days for them to reach her in Czech Republic, and I'm debating whether two weeks turnaround time is fast enough that if she fails the credit check I could still find someone else, or whether it's urgent enough that I ought to fax them, or just figure that she's been living in the US for the past five years and probably isn't about to fail a credit check and I'm just worrying about it excessively.

In other news, I'm back! From outer space! Or, er, the Adirondacks.
