Cutest thing spotted while walking quickly in the other direction: a mother skunk and four little babies, all walking around with their tails up.

I have actually gotten off my ass to the extent of sending a resume somewhere (said somewhere being to a job posting of which ceciliaregent kindly informed me). This done, I'm probably going to settle back on my ass again, unless, hm, I did like the youngest son in the firebird fairytale and put a hedgehog under there or something. Okay, I don't think it was a hedgehog, but he had, like, pins in his sleeves so when he started to fall asleep they poked him awake again. But a hedgehog would probably add a whole nother layer of excitement in that it would be moving. At least the first few times I sat on it.

Okay, possibly free associating on minimal sleep is a bad thing. For that matter, possibly writing my First Ever Cover Letter Ever on minimal sleep was a bad thing. On the other hand, given that I have *not* sent my resume off on many other better-rested occasions, perhaps it's just one of those things that I was going to end up needing the uninhibiting effects of sleep-dep loopiness to do. I mean, heck, I wrote almost all of my papers that way.

Letzan keeps saying there ought to be a the plan, so the a plan is to try to harness this momentum and email out my resume twice more before leaving in an hour. This is not, admittedly, a the plan on the sort of grandiose multiple-day scale which letzan advocates, but it is a start. Possibly even a the start.
