Juniper continues to be at war with my computer (or possibly it's some sort of love triangle, where she's simultaneously jealous of it getting my attention and wants its awesome video-playing qualities all for herself), but she's doing MUCH better with hanging out in the kitchen while I cook.

And that is why this week alone I've made beer bread, kale chips, and oatmeal cookies in addition to dinner. (Kale chips: fucking amazing. How is it even possible to make something out of *kale* that you can't stop eating? Like this.)

I've been known to not be able to stop eating raw kale, but I'm weird, and eventually whatever it is that makes brassica tangy will build up enough to result in a real burning sensation. Then it's time to put down the cabbage and eat something wholesome like a donut.

I like kale in more conventional preparations, but I also like kale chips. I hadn't realized you could make them without a dehydrator; I will have to try this!
