Well, this episode did its part to tick its weary way towards the finale. Not a lot here to care about - Jacob passes the torch to Jack ("Jack is finally almost as important as he thinks he is", as Josh put it) after making a little speech about how he was totally justified interfering in people's lives, dammit, while psycho!altDesmond is Up To Something that will conclude at the cast party the museum fundraiser, which I assume is altFaraday's party? By *far* the high point was altMiles asking altSawyer out. I care much less about how it will end than *that* it will end, alas.

I just don't see how they are going to reach a (relatively) satisfying end with only 2 hours of episode to go. I had all these theories about merging timelines a few episodes back, but I just don't see it happening in under 2 hrs. And while I liked the previous episode, it didn't really get us anywhere either.

I don't think altDesmond is psycho, he just has a Plan, and has Seen things. Also, I have been enjoying the continued parallels, with altLocke being very Lockesq with his "happened for a reason" thoughts.

I will *fall off the couch in shock* if the end is even close to being satisfying. I've been watching all these years hoping they were actually *going somewhere*, that they had an interesting story they wanted to tell, good answers to the mysteries, etc, and I think it's obvious at this point that they've just been making shit up the whole time and came up with a half-assed, hand-wavey "explanation" that would let them end it on schedule. (I mean, glowhole? WTF?)

Ok, the "glowhole" didn't bug me that much considering the glowing isn't a new concept. We have seen glowing in the well/cave, when turning the wheel, etc. Adding a surface access point isn't too random.

I really thought the last 3 seasons were going somewhere, but if they really had a Plan, it seems more questions should have been answered and more resolution should have been reached before the final 2 hrs. Even the first half of this season seemed to have a plan, but the last few episodes haven't done much. I still have hope the finale will be good.
