The big news for the day is not that we went to library babygarten yesterday, even though it was a little cool to be nonchalant and reassure a new-to-babygarten mom that I wasn't worried about Juniper putting the communal toys in her mouth. And it's not that I went to see Sherlock Holmes last night - it's always fun to get out, but while it had some cute moments, my overall feeling was "meh", not helped by the fact that I found it quite difficult in several spots to understand what anyone was saying (not that I had trouble following the plot ("plot"), but I wasn't seeing this movie for plot, I was seeing it for Holmes/Watson interaction, to which Holmes's fast mumbly dialogue would have been relevant). No, nothing so inconsequential: this morning's headline definitely reads "Juniper wakes once!" instead of the three or four times a night it's been recently. And the first part of the night was one of those lovely solid six-or-seven-hour night sleeps. I am in no particular hurry for her to sleep entirely through the night - *I* don't sleep through the night without a drink and a pee, so a quick 3 am feed-and-change isn't disruptive, if she'll go right back down - but the possible, even occasional return of the 6h-then-3h sleep pattern is wonderful. Such are the priorities in our little world...

My strongest memories from T's babyhood mostly have to do with the emotions revolving around whether or not we got enough sleep.
