Some hospital staff can be such jerks. (I'll never forget how, while I was miscarrying my first pregnancy, I drove by myself to the nearest emergency room, bleeding and in some of the worst pain I've ever felt (physical and emotional), only to have the guy who was taking my information tell me I should have driven twenty minutes further to the hospital where my doctor practiced!)
Fortunately, other hospital staff can be really supportive.
