Thanks! That is a terrific compliment. ::rubs hands mad-scientistly:: Ficlets works. I consider them fully-fledged stories because I think my writing is strongest when I go for short and tends to flail more as wordcount increases... I think part of why I haven't written much the past few years was that I was sort of thinking of "good plot ideas" in terms of the long epic stuff I love to read, and not so much anything I could actually personally write. Of course realizing this does not stop me from imagining sprawling decades-long multi-generational timelines, but maybe I can still mine them for good standalone moments?
