can you eat pocky with just a few teeth?
Nov. 24th, 2004 12:04 amSo every year for Christmas I send my grandparents a food basket of non-perishable, ideally lightweight items selected from the international aisle or local dried produce so as to be interesting stuff they can't get at their local grocery (or, this year, things unlikely to turn up in the meal plan at their residence). But my mom just mentioned that her dad has lost a bunch of teeth this year, and only has his front teeth left. So such food basket staples as nuts and dried fruits are out, being too hard to chew. It occurred to me that a Pocky sampler fits all of my criteria perfectly (and a novelty sweet that I can put together a whole gift of with one stop in the japanese grocery instead of running around trying to find more things is like a gift in itself). But can you eat Pocky with just your front teeth? Maybe if you dunk it in milk first? The obvious thing to do is to try it and see, but maybe one of you has more of a sense about teeth difficulties than I do...
