why I am excited about the Red Sox win
Oct. 21st, 2004 01:33 amNow, if I ever go back in time, I have an improbable sports outcome to put my big bet on.
No, I don't really think I'll ever get to use it, but that's *such* a classic time-fantasy plot point, and I never knew anything that would work for it before. This is the first baseball game at all I ever watched more than a few minutes of, let alone think I will remember the outcome of/understood why it was a big deal/could get really good odds on etc. So it's just kind of satisfying, to know an example of that kind of fact, to have something to put in that blank.
Now if only I knew what years you're supposed to buy and sell Microsoft and Intel ::grin::.
