Late Night

Sometimes it is nice to watch a movie that is just a story about people and has some funny bits and emotional bits and thought-provoking bits and whatnot. I mean that is not mostly what I watch, mostly what I watch goes boom and flies around and such, but it can be nice to get a Can You Ever Forgive Me or Crazy Rich Asians in there occasionally. Anyways, Late Night, excellent performances from Emma Thompson and Mindy Kaling, both of whom I enjoy watching, good story, I like it when women get to be people.

Did you notice that it had the same concepts as a romantic comedy: meet cute, admitting they need the other, etc but between platonic friends?

I LOVED it. I hope we see more like this. Kaling wrote it, too.
