i don't think getting a man should be Lin's happy ending, but, like, part of her happy ending probably does involve her fundamental inability to let people get close, and i think one legitimate symptom of that development could, hypothetically, be some new romantic connections.
but please not Bumi - that is not quite the worst pairing imaginable, but it's up there.
