Disadvent 7

There's a kid-stuff resale shop in our local library that's my favorite destination for lightly used outgrown clothes and outgrown-but-still-good toys and puzzles and such. Took them the unused solar rover robot kit, with a note saying the bag of parts was still sealed and unused, and a no-batteries spin art toy with a note saying it was used but still worked and the paints were still moist. I would totally have bought that from the resale shop for two dollars, so hopefully someone else will.

Disadvent 8

An outgrown winter jacket to a local branch of a dry cleaner that runs a coat drive. After use by two kids it was a bit battered, but was a good quality down jacket and would still keep a kid warm - definitely warmer than not having a jacket. (I'm not sure whether MA is still getting a thousand migrant families a month, like they were saying earlier this year, but I bet a number of those kids don't have jackets.)
