Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy: A Graphic Novel: A Modern Retelling of Little Women, Rey Terciero and Bre Indigo, the entire premise of which was just explained in the title there. Junie found this at the library! Cute art, and I thought most of the modernization choices they made worked well - Dad March loses a leg in the unspecified middle east, Jo is gay, Beth survives because we have modern medicine now. I was a little dubious about Jo, the one we all identify with (seriously, does anyone identify with a different March sister? please comment if you do) also being the white one - I'm so curious what different racial variations they considered and how they settled on this one, like, was there ever a version discussed where they were all Black? Anyways, I'll be so curious to see whether it will interest Junie in reading the original - it's not the classic book I want her to read most, but it's definitely a cultural reference point, and then we could go to the Alcott house, too.
