I saw Spiderman Far From Home, which was fun and well-put-together, and Tom Holland continues to be adorable. Definitely recommended if you liked the first one.
Josh and I watched Always Be My Maybe, which was really funny and sweet and... not shitty? Like, I don't know, I feel like in the 90s this plot probably did end with the woman giving up her career and moving back to her hometown and making herself smaller for a dude and I appreciate that that's not what we're doing in romcoms now (or not in this one, anyways). Also the Asian-American cultural details feel much more interesting and specific than Yet Another Generic White Small Town or other such popular romcom settings. Recommended if you like het romcoms.
I got the new Terminator trailer with Spiderman and OH GOSH. Linda Hamilton doing those pull-ups is one of the most indelible single moments from any movie of my youth, and I guess it's like thirty years later now but her, er, silver fox incarnation is better than ever. Can't wait. (My tumblr feed has been very excited about the new Charlie's Angels and we also got that preview and that looks fun, I look forward to seeing it and then reading some fic.)
