and other obscure life lessons. No, but seriously, don't take a three-year-old to the holograph show: I took Junie (and Q) to the MIT Museum, where they recently rotated their hologram collection, but it turned out that it was very difficult for Junie to see the holograms from her viewing height, and very difficult for me to pick her up with Q already strapped to my front. (I suspect it might also be a frustrating show to view from a wheelchair, although obviously it would depend on the height of the particular person/chair.) Plus several of the other exhibits I was counting on to amuse her weren't there any more. Still, we had a good time watching the "running robots" movie, and she liked some of the Ganson sculptures (most especially the yellow chair that coalesces from its parts), and she amused herself fiddling around with a slide rule in the new-to-me slide rule exhibit long enough that I had time to get some basic idea of what you do with one, which I had always been vaguely embarrassed not to know. So, not a total bust.
