book review: Score One for the Sloths
Sep. 29th, 2011 09:22 amContinuing the important work of making people aware of kids' books about sloths, here is one. Score One for the Sloths, by Helen Lester, illustrated by Lynn Munsinger, involves sloths going to school, useful for kids currently thinking a lot about school.

. Hm, I have no idea how to embiggen that, so, more usefully, a link: on Amazon.
The best part is the Way of the Sloth poem:
The way of the sloth is gentle and kind.
It hangs from the tree with nothing in mind.
It doesn't make faces, or throw fits, or holler.
It never gets heated under the collar.
It's surely no bother, that's easy to see.
It just hangs around, contented to be.
Sloths!
