just don't kick the tires

Finally took the frame carrier out on the trail, yesterday with the parents-and-babies Fells-walking group. It is one sweet ride. Don't get me wrong, the Ergo was terrific for that first year and it's still great for things like going up and down stairs with both Junie and a laundry basket, or taking the bus, but it's a compact economy car and the frame carrier is a luxury sedan, big and solid and smooooth, cushy seats, great suspension... the price is really buying something, is what I'm saying. It felt like a pretty serious indulgence when we bought it but hiking without shoulder pain is totally worth it.
