Apr. 17th, 2004 11:14 amSome sort of Disney tv-guide in the checkout lane featured short comics of various series.
Also a "Pirates of the Caribbean" comic (unless that's an animated series now??) in which Will and Jack are on the run together from the still-undead crew (interesting premise, that) and, in this episode, trying to open a stubborn treasure chest.
So they keep trying different methods (dropping it, hitting it, blowing it up) presented in a quick series of panels, that, well...
"Higher?" "Higher!" "Harder?" "Harder!" "Boom?" "Boom!"
Tee hee. And then it turns out to be empty but they have to take cover inside it from the undeadies shooting at them, so they are scrunched in together, and eeee, we all know that hiding together in a small space is inherently slashy. Was so cute. Not, alas, worth the 3.50 or whatever, but I may have to reread it next time I'm in line.
