The third Tensorate novella from JY Yang. Definitely don't start here if you haven't read the other two. I enjoyed this a great deal - it was a sort of thing I very much like - although it also has a little bit of middle-bookness, leaving me eager for the fourth one, which we're apparently getting some time next year. (Spoilers) I thought the redacted transcript was hilarious and was almost sad later on when we got it in un-redacted form. Love that kind of storytelling device. Another great Yuko Shimizu cover. I was curious about how the redactions would render in the ebook, which I assume is the format you read. (This is a set I am otherwise quite happy to have in paper--those covers are delicious--but not risking weird spacing issues and being able to flip back and forth between redacted and unredacted was a plus for me.)

No, sorry, I read this one on paper (and did the same flipping-back-and-forth thing). Tor has some weird thing going on with withholding ebooks from libraries (I think it's like a six month delay? ... four month delay, apparently) so most of my Tor reading is on paper right now.
