Mrs. Martin's Incomparable Adventure

Mrs. Martin's Incomparable Adventure, Courtney Milan, 2019, novella. I have to admit that I bought this when it came out in late March and started reading it and then had about ten library holds come in one after the other, some rather faster than I had thought they were going to when I placed the holds, and it was all I could do to keep up. But I finally finished it. I'm a big Milan fan and I really wanted to like this one (lesbians! elderly lesbians!) but unfortunately the antagonist and the protagonists' choices in response weren't enjoyable reading for me. The romance was sweet though and I think other people could have a really different reaction plotwise so I don't want to disrecommend it! Just wasn't for me.
