We went down to San Francisco to march, and it was pretty powerful. We did not carry signs (couldn't decide on what to say...I like the sign you took), but we did wear pink pussyhats. We had gotten there pretty early and were actually quite close to the stage, so we did not realize how huge the crowd was until we made a trip to the porta-pottys. Of course we could not get back to anywhere near where we started, but did get close enough to hear Joan Baez sing, who was the last performer before the march started. There were a good number of Princess Leia resistance signs, and another one of my favorites was "I've seen smarter cabinets at Ikea".
On Friday, I also went down to San Francisco for "Bridge Together Golden Gate" to be part of a human chain going the length of the bridge to promote "unity and love in the face of divisiveness and hate". So many cars and trucks were honking their horns in support, and waving out the windows, but the highlight for me was when a huge shipping barge type boat blew its fog horn (which at first I assumed had nothing to do with us) until people stepped out of the bridge onto deck to wave.
