Ok, commenting to myself with more thoughts. One thing I really like is that the show has now neatly separated the AoS big bads from Hydra - Quinn wants money and power, Raina is involved in the alien plot, Ward was... apparently never so into the Hydra thing, just personal loyalty to Garrett. I think that's really good, because any *major* victory against, like, epic-level Hydra is going to have to be won by epic-level Steve in Cap 3. The team cleaning up minor Hydra ops could fill an episode or two but couldn't really drive the show, it's much better for them as medium-level heroes to have some medium-level baddies to oppose.
